I was meaning to ask about this--but currently the fbopen python client already points to api.data.gov (as opposed to localhost or something else). Is this the behavior you describe in this issue?

Yeah, we run our production API and website thru api.data.gov for the access control and analytics it provides.

No, this is a switch we have to flip in getting the new production servers deployed.
