Question/Comment

How many forests would you like the system to serve?

We would like to understand what you mean by user group and role management better. This area has the potential to be very large or very small depending on what you feel you need or want.

Improved user experience is not a capability (epic), it is an approach. Recommend moving this to a different area of the RFP.

Is the Special User Administrator your target user?

Do you anticipate needing reporting functionality?

All of the above would better help us determine the scope of the project.

We currently have one on-boarded forest and a substantial part of this process is exploring the needs of additional forests and reducing the level of effort to onboard each additional forest.

User group and role management refers to the need to grant and revoke specific Forest staff members privileges to administer their Forest’s presence in the application—for example, making content changes to reflect their Forest’s specific policies and timelines. Authentication is already implemented and minimal role management has already been implemented.

The specific stories we’ve listed under the “Improve user experience” epic represent specific capabilities, such as submitting multiple applications without having to re-enter information. Some of these improvements we can predict, but most will emerge from the user research conducted as part of this contract. We appreciate the feedback, and will update the RFP to better reflect this.

The Special Use Administrator is one of our target user groups. We’ve documented other key user groups and stakeholders on our wiki.

We expect to do research about the needs related to in-app reporting for Special Use permits as part of this contract. We do not expect significant in-app reporting needs, as the majority of the data needed for reporting is stored in the Special Use Data System, which is outside this app.
