5.1.1.3

Question/Comment

a. Can vendors share a Repo with the Forest Service from actual clients? If this is not available, can they demonstrate security practices appropriate for source code release? b. Can the Forest Service Clarify what they mean by “They can cover performance periods of no more than 18 months”?

a: Yes, vendors are welcome to share repositories from actual clients. We encourage you to work with your clients to give us access to repositories, as we are interested in both the code you develop as well as the security practices for that release. We will accept closed repositories with credentials, though we have an expressed preference for open repositories.

b. We are interested in projects that were developed within a similar timeframe to how this was developed and demonstrated ability to work within rapid iteration cycles.

I think the question period is probably over, but why can't we provide repos covering any length PoP and then you just look at the commits and state of the product up until 18 months after the first commit? All VCS' provide a straightforward way to do that.

Thank you for your comment. We'll take this into consideration in future RFPs.
