5.1.1.3 Similar experience - code repository submission
Question/Comment
Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft RFP. Regarding section 5.1.1.3 Similar experience - code repository submission, could you please clarify whether vendors should provide links to public or credentialed repositories simply to show that they exist, or whether you need access to view the repository? GitHub repositories can be an excellent way to learn more about a project and a team’s coding practices. However, most of Resource Data’s GitHub code repositories are confidential and owned by our clients, so we unfortunately cannot provide access to them. In addition, many repositories we work with are hosted on client sites and not available via the web. We expect other firms may be in the same situation. We suggest the repository requirement be optional but not required for the response.
