Seems odd that neither Balanced nor Buffer are in the group. Maybe only larger, well funded companies may apply?

Well, I threw 18F's hat in the ring and joined their mailing list. It has one thread in it, started by Guido van Rossum of Dropbox, and I'm the first reply (talking about this policy). There've been a few others.

So nothing's happening. But either way, that's enough to close this ticket.
