Link hints with 'f' open in a new tab #653

Open npit opened 6 years ago

npit commented 6 years ago

See title. f and F behave in the same way.

zyf0330 commented 5 years ago

Some links have default behavior that opens at new tab when click.

npit commented 5 years ago

This behaviour is observed in all links, though. Using chromium Version 70.0.3538.110 on Arch.

zyf0330 commented 5 years ago

image When you use f to this title link, which place does new page be opened, this tab or new tab?

npit commented 5 years ago

Both f and F open the link in a new tab.

zyf0330 commented 5 years ago

Then you can try :call createHint which is same as f. If it is useless, I don't know another possibility.

npit commented 5 years ago

Yeah, it behaves the same. Thanks for the help - I'll update this if I figure it out.

khipukamayuq commented 5 years ago

@npit any luck on solution? @zyf0330 I've run into the same issue on Ubuntu 18.04

npit commented 5 years ago

@khipukamayuq No, I haven't come across anything.

zyf0330 commented 5 years ago

Sorry, I am on Ubuntu 18.10 and have no this problem.

ivanjermakov commented 4 years ago

Same problem on on Linux Mint 19.2 Tina. Any progress?

yep, 'f' and lowercase the folowing 1 or 2 letters.

ivanjermakov commented 4 years ago

Thanks, @caikaidi. Typing lowercase f and hints opens link in current tab. Example: fab.
