Since we are going to be using github as our primary workflow manager, we need to restructure our repo a little bit.
Our github file structure probably doesn't need much tweaking, but the most important part is that it is organized so team members will use it in a meaningful manner.
We basically just need to make it our own.

For example /specs/ contains all forms of documentation that set standards for our project
