only showing keyboard settings - doesn't work

Hi All,

Hoping someone could help me, i installed the program, started it up but the only interface I get is "keyboard setting" i don't razer keyboard, its the mouse I want to custom,

It also doesn't have an icon at the top.

Anyone have suggestions? have I done something wrong?

Maybe give the older versions a go and see what happens.

Cheers for the reply, the older one (2.8) still doing the same, just without the brightness control.

Hi iRBrummie,

I see the icon for this app in the top right for your screenshot (the left-most icon in the group of icons). It is hard to see because it is black instead of white (an issue noted in other requests). If you click that icon, it will show the usual options.

However, it looks like you are using macOS 11 Big Sur, based on the unique new settings icon I also see in the taskbar. From my experience, this app no longer works on Big Sur. At this point it looks like the issue might be repaired by disabling csrutil, loading the related kext, and then re-enabling csrutil (see avaddon's answer):

This is specifically for Synapse, but I imagine the solution is going to be similar for 1kc's app. I haven't tried these steps yet.

Actually, for me the solution was simpler: install the app, connect the device, (optional intermediate step install Synapse 2.0 [I'm not sure if this actually had any effect]), reboot the computer -> done. It didn't work on Big Sur until after the reboot in this series of steps.
