I really hope this works, if this doesn't work for you, we can result to email.

If this does work, however, you need to right click and open the file, otherwise the Mac will think that it's a malware, probably because it talks to USB ports on the Mac.

For some reason, the brightness slider doesn't work for the lights on the bottom of the V3 pro.

If you encounter any more problems with it please let me know, even let me know if it works, if it does, I may find a way to share to a larger group of people like on YouTube or something.

Wow, thank you, I did not expect anybody to just help me out like that! Very nice of you! Unfortunately, when I Install and open the app in the way you said, it just says "The application ā€œRazer macOSā€ canā€™t be opened." I also ticked "override malware protection". (Screenshot) I'm in Macos Sonoma 14.3.

This is a known problem, did you try right click on the app, then click open? Otherwise the mac says it can't open because it can't tell if it is malware.

Yes, unfortunately even following all your tips precisely, I still get the same "canā€™t be opened" message.

IValueSimplicity commented 10 months ago

Did you try adding it to dock and/or trying to right click on the icon before opening it? There should be a larger pop up then giving you the option to open anyway.

dustandwater commented 10 months ago

Yes, I got past that, added an exception, tried the dock and it's still the same. Once I got a crash report:

Let me look into it, don't worry we will find a way in the end. I need to figure out exactly what is preventing the opening, because I see you activated bypass malware protection in the app info. I'll let you know if I come up with something.

By the way, I am currently working on a huge project regarding Razer on apple devices. I am focusing on the Basilisk, and I may create a software for Mac utilising my current progress (I just need to implement Razer USB signals into my app) so I may be able to release a stronger alternative. So if Razer MacOS doesn't end up working, we still have some hope šŸ¤ž.

I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.

IValueSimplicity commented 10 months ago

I have an idea, but it may be a stretch. It has worked consistently for me however.

The app clearly isn't working so try this:

Uninstall your current version, and reinstall but do not drag the icon into the applications folder.

Instead, drag it into your dock. What this will do is your Mac will consider it as a web app, and not a full app. Then try the right click open, it might work.

Don't drag the DMG, drag the app icon that comes up when it tempts you to drag it into applications.

Good luck!

Thank you, I did exactly as you said, still the same. But great to have your support. Since you're working on a bigger solution I can also wait. I'd be happy to get an update via Email jbergerfotografie+github@gmail.com

Just catching up on this thread. My Razer Basilik Pro also has had issues for a while trying to get it to work on Mac. I gave up and it seemed like many others did as well. It's great to see some action! Also I'd really be interested in your project when it's ready to launch. Just a consumer as well, and hoping to use full functionality of the mouse on my MacBook!

IValueSimplicity commented 10 months ago

Let's explore some solutions... have you tried everything I mentioned on this thread? if not please could you send a screenshot of your error popups?
