What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Bizhawk into a new and completely empty folder.
2. Start Bizhawk.
3. Ensure that Config -> GUI -> Log Window as Console is enabled. (This is the
default setting).
4. Open the log window.
5. Open a ROM.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: ROM information.
Actual output: Nothing. Data is still being written to standard output as
confirmed by starting via the command line.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
r2313, Win 7 x64

Please provide any additional information below.
The desired behavior is achievable by restarting when the log window is open
(on restart, both the console and main frame are visible).

FYI, it's a miracle that this works at all. windows and .net's systems for
controlling the console are _awful_
