Button icons not visible on Android

On Android browsers, the buttons that are shown at the bottom of the screen are suddenly appearing as empty circles, without the usual icons like the calendar or magnifying glass.

I have no idea what suddenly triggered this overnight. It's the same in both Firefox and Chrome on my Android phone, but not an issue on desktop.

I was able to fix this (at least for now) by clearing browser data.
