[Altered] Enable use of PEM/SSL certificates with the yum repos #87

After discussing with jdetiber over IRC we think this should be a cross-platform solution

@thoraxe I discussed with @detiber over IRC and this seems to be the best cross-platform at the moment. Although this might impose a security risk, because we use the shared /var/tmp directory, this is a rare use of it. Please let me know if you are fine with it, then I will merge it into master.
