Project Idea : Forum for rating user skillset #2

The basic idea for this would be a forum with different communities, where users can be rated based on their skillset for that particular community (eg. guitar, gaming, coding etc.) just like some competitive programming platforms like codeforces.

The users can gain points to advance their level through several ways , some possible ideas are :

  1. Likes on the post/ activity made by the user, weight of like considered to counter fake accounts. (Higher rated account's likes count more)
  2. Contests organised in the space, can be done by individuals or corporations, have higher weight towards a user's rating.
  3. Tokens donated (similar to karma in reddit) can be purchased via store.

More ideas can be implemented in this direction. Individuals/ organisations can have contests to identify and recruit talent in various spaces which can be monetised from our end.

Some possible challenges :

  1. verification of a user's entry
  2. incentive for a user to join
