Hm...assuming the primary place to browse enlistments is http://personnel.29th.org/#enlistments, do we even need to put their name in the forum topic title? Perhaps the "Enlistment Office" forum should be buried somewhere so you can't access it directly from the forum; rather you have to go through the enlistments page. Would that be easier?
We do not need the enlistment forum, true, though I don't like the idea of having incorrect information stored somewhere. There have been instances of cadets wanting to change their name for privacy reasons. Though if it's not supposed to be accessed directly, perhaps the titles of the threads could be without names? Of course the best solution would be to have the name updated from the "last name" field in the application.
Right ... it's technically possible to have it updated if the last name changes, and we could also train staff to do it manually, but I'm just not sure it's necessary or would add any value. Perhaps it would be better to just rename them all "Enlistment" or something and hide the forum.
@Browning29th any way to make the forum invisible but still show up when you view an enlistment at personnel.29th.org/#enlistments ? Perhaps we can make it a subforum of Lighthouse.
I'll work on changing the subjects, so assign it to me after.
@wilson29thid that should be possible if it was a public sub board of a private board
Great, please put it under Lighthouse and then assign it to me and I'll work on the subjects.
Working on this an other staff board issues currently
@Browning29th it appears enlistments are no longer publicly viewable. Try viewing one in an incognito window or while logged out. Do you know why?
They're publicly viewable again now so back to the original request
I have no idea about this. Sorry
@Browning29th no idea about what? The "original request" is to put the enlistment office forum as a child of the Lighthouse forum
enlistment office is now a child of the Lighthouse forum
This is needed for when a cadet changes name. As SEL I do have access.
