Why would retired members need a unit? And what would be the purpose of it? We could make an interface / tab in personnel to show them somehow.
Anyone have thoughts on what retired members should have that public users don't?
Previously they've had access to medical corps and enlistment office.
Enlistment office? That's a public board... are you thinking of something else?
Until #252 is implemented, currently ELs needs to jump between the old forums (http://29th.org/personnel/stats/#discharges) and new forums to check the possibility of duplicate lastnames from HDs.
Can I recommend something like this: Personnel > Discharges
It could be similar page to the roster with ability to sort out discharged members by the discharge status; HD, GD, DD.
Due to #360 , the list of discharges is needed for the new forums if we want to honor the HD'd lastnames. Otherwise we cannot guarantee the reservation of the lastnames since we can't access the old forums anymore.
Probably create another type of unit and figure out what benefits that includes.
