Device ID 1c88:1001 Somagic no supported #27

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Attempt to install
2.Firmware cannot be extracted from any .sys file
3.1c88:1001 appears not supported

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ubuntu,

I'm having this exact problem. Whenever I try to run sudo 
somagic-extract-firmware it says "Somagic firmware was not found in driver 
file." I downloaded another version of it which did extract, and apparently it 
is for 1c88:1007 while the one I have is 1c88:1001, and running sudo 
somagic-init outputs "USB device 1c88:0007 was not found. Is the device 
attached?"
