You may be interested in this meetup if you contribute to open source with code or feedback. The meetup may focus on a specific project by 2DII but the idea is general; you may see any specific project as a use case, and apply the principles to any project beyond 2DII.
Why is this important?
Many of you contribute to open source via code or feedback. Your feedback in the form of github issues, for example, helps @jdhoffa and @maurolepore build r2dii packages. If we clarify what we expect from your contributions, we will increase the odds that the effort you put into helping us will improve the code and documentation we write.
What should be covered?
For this meetup, the scope will be quite simple. How do you convey a bug that you have found, into an actionable issue on github, that any software developer might be able to address, even with little context.
In particular, we will go over how to:
write an issue that generates more confusion than direction (or how NOT to write a request)
generate a reproducible example (reprex)
write a failing test
