Incompatible with Improved Town Industries 2.9 or Renewed Village Growth #44

Using ITI and Renewed Village Growth game script, the towns don't spread out, and just upgrade existing buildings to high density variants.

I don't know if the issue is Improved Town Industries 2.9 or Renewed Village Growth, as I used them together as ITI recommends.

I can provide a save file if useful, or any other debugging/logs info if there's something that would help.

NewGRF houses cannot really change town growth behavior. Have you turned off the ability of towns to build roads, perhaps?

A save file would be useful so I can better see what you're experiencing. 🙂

Here's the save. The town Sheridans Corner was my main town, and didn't show the right behavior.

I suspect it's the Renewed Village Growth game script that's the issue, but I haven't looked into it.

Edit: I'm sure I didn't turn off town road growth, but that should be stored in the save for you to verify. I know the towns won't modify roads the player owns, but there should have still been plenty of growth options available. My next game, without ITI or Renewed Village Growth (but all the other NewGRF's the same), I saw the expected ITL growth.

Edit 2: I just realized I didn't mention I'm playing the JGRPP fork of OpenTTD. I don't think that's relevant, but might be required to open that save. If neccessary, I can try generating a new save in stock OpenTTD to see if the issue repro's there.

Reproducing it in stock OpenTTD would be helpful, as I'm not familiar with all the settings in JGRPP to diagnose the problem.
