Thank you for reporting this, please share an example to reduce the time it take to reproduce.
Example with the function \underbrace: Notion: Result on anki: This happen with several maths functions, such as \sqrt.
Anki has a built-in latex math engine, the same as notion. The only difference is that on notion math functions are opened with $$...$$ and on anki [...] or (...) if the math formula is inline.
Edit: tried on multiple devices.

All block equations containing \sqrt get imported to anki excluding the \sqrt.
