Getting ads on v1 proxies. Any plans for v2 support? #62

Is anyone using this with v1 proxies and getting no ads?

Seems like most public v1 proxies doesn't work anymore since around 2 months or so with ads coming through. Same results using ttv-lol pro v1. Only getting good results with v2.

Which brings the question, is any v2 support planned?

Can't say I've been seeing ads myself but my only plan for this is to keep it updated. Any PRs, forks, or even completely new projects would have my full support.

Currently only getting a mostly ad-free experience using twitch.nadeko.net -- all the others get geo-targeted ads.

EDIT: Just got a mid-roll even on there, so spoke too soon. Guess they have some type of new geolocation check that V1 doesn't catch.

https://lb-eu3.cdn-perfprod.com which is not mentioned in the list (for some reason?) is also hosted in Russia, same as the nadeko one. Russian proxies won't work for people in countries that Twitch deem as Europe (Russia & Turkey is included, but Georgia for example is not) cause Twitch will just serve ads based on your real location (tracked-based ads).

All the other PerfProd proxies are hosted in other countries and should work just fine for everyone, including European people, however, as stated multiple times by me, these proxies can't guarantee any sort of ad blocking, and I just maintain the infrastructure and rotate proxies from time to time, I don't monitor their effectiveness anymore. Luminous EU/EU2 are (as of right now) hosted in Russia and North Macedonia respectively, so those won't work for people in Europe, but Luminous AS is (spoofed) China which will work for European people. I don't recommend using Luminous AS if you want real speed since the main server is hosted in Tokyo, using a VPN that's not in China, and probably somewhere in Europe, that will probably either give you Los Angeles/London Twitch playlist servers.

Not sure why either but I'll add it now.

I've also been getting ads as of late in sporadic streams, across the usual v1 proxies

Anyone else getting ads solely on specific streams? And not just on a one-off stream, but consistently across that streamer's streams. It's one streamer in particular out of 10.

Which channel? I can see if it happens for me too

Worked fine for me for at least a year, getting ads on every channel now though, even after redownloading the python file and replacing.

@2bc4 Consistently, no matter the settings/server:

According to zGato (who also commented above), twitch banned all of the public v1 proxy ip's, it might fix itself

As of this morning that I've checked they don't seem blocked anymore, except a single one (from the South America pool)

There's just some app (which I'm still checking but I think it's this one) that makes just too many requests for some reason. Twitch won't let slide 1M requests per day from like 7 IPs, it's unbelievable.

So for now there's only 1-2 proxies for all proxy pools which may or may not block ads whilst I investigate.

Hi, I'm having ads too since a few days at stream starts... I tried different proxies between dn-perfprod.com and Luminous...
