Following the comment in https://github.com/2i2c-org/hub-user-image-template/issues/31#issuecomment-2317241972 I have reinstated the hub user image template guide in the 2i2c docs in addition to the docs on using community-maintained images.

I will close the PR – thank you for your contribution!
