I'll take this on since I've already written it up elsewhere and just need to adapt it here. However I think it'll need input from others if there is somethin I missed.
I've updated the top comment with what I think are our major commitments and our current capacity. The one missing piece is "enhancements by focus area". I would like the area leads to answer that question in these two related issues:

for the ones where we need to add somebody.
@jmunroe agreed to take the point on the Pangeo collaboration, so I think that we have our major project efforts figured out now. I've updated the top comment accordingly.
I think the last thing to finish up is just confirming the priorities for engineering+product / community+partnerships
I'm going to close this one, as I am now looping back in to ED duties, though will likely to do gradually. We have point people described for each of the major projects above and I think there's nothing more actionable here.
We have a number of major efforts already underway, but both the deliverables on those efforts, and our responsibility to accomplish them, is under-specified. This is an issue to list them all in one place so that we can get a better view of it, and then decide how we'd like to track these efforts moving forward.

We don't have any clear definitions yet, the area leads need to define this below. They should cover significant / strategic improvements in these areas. These were the strategic objectives from last quarter, they are likely too much and we need to sharpen/reduce, but could provide inspiration.
