Other apps making changes to the hosts file will lose those changes as soon we switch to another gas mask hosts file, even if the box in gas mask settings to override external modifications is not checked.
Checking that box only makes it so the third-party changes are overwritten immediately after they occur, without switching to another hosts file in gas mask. I get that this is probably designed to counter malicious modifications to the hosts file, but there are cases where third party apps make additions to the hosts file which are legitimate and should not be overwritten.
How about a new, "dynamic" local hosts file type in gas mask that represents whatever the currently active hosts file contains and which can then be combined with other templates in gas mask?
