Resolve Google Search Console issues

Google Search is not indexing most of my pages and I need to fix that.

There may be several things at play but one big issue is determining which domain is canonical. Right now, I'm treating www and my apex domain as both valid, but Google wants one of them to be canonical and seems to change its mind per URL. The easiest way to do this is to set a redirect one URL to the other. I'm going to stick with www as my canonical domain.

Redirection has been enabled. These URLs have been requested to be indexed again, so I'll check back later to see if it's been resolved.

As of 6/4/2024, there are 12 pages marked as not indexed that fall into these categories.

Description

Inspection of failed page seems to be good, so validation has been requested (last crawled on 5/31/2024 and no changes since then, so this might not work). I'll wait for the others.

Most of these pages have the wrong canonical URL. 4 non-canonical have failed as expected. 3 are pending, of which 1 is non-canonical and 2 are canonical. I'll wait for the results. I expect that the 1 non-canonical will fail and the 2 canonical ones will get indexed.

As of 6/5/2024, the https://www.secondsleep.io/basics/azure_intro/procedure/create-landing-zones URL has been indexed. It was previously in the Crawled - currently not indexed category.

That leaves only the https://www.secondsleep.io/basics/iac/explainer/iac-overview URL in the pending state that I expect to be successfully indexed. This URL is currently in the Page with redirect category.

All other URLs that have not been indexed are non-canonical and are not expected to be indexed. I'll leave this open until the state of the https://www.secondsleep.io/basics/iac/explainer/iac-overview URL changes.
