Mashup - Content-In-Content-In-Content (Inner Content) Do Not Work #2653

Current behavior Add a new instance of News

Expected behavior

  1. Install vanilla instance of DNN v.Latest.
  2. Install 2sxc v.Latest.
  3. Install News for 2sxc v5. https://2sxc.org/en/apps/app/news-app-v5-hybrid-for-dnn-and-oqtane
  4. Install Accordion v4. https://2sxc.org/en/apps/app/accordion-v4-hybrid-for-dnn-and-oqtane
  5. Place new instance of News on new page and configure according to its Azing Checklist.
  6. Once a new News content item is created, open the editor and place a new application block in the Rich Text editor.
  7. Refresh the page.
  8. Add new Accordion app to the application block section.
  9. Configured new Accordion items.
  10. On any Accordion item, add new App or Content item.
  11. Configure app or content item.

Instructions to Reproduce the Problem See above. I have tried this on five separate installations of DNN ranging from DNN 8.03 to DNN 9.10.2. In each instance, when I try to do anything with a content item contained in the inner content Accordion, the 2sxc picker does the elongated version of spinning and nothing happens. I have tried using the code submitted by miguelvaz78 in issue 2486 and use the News App's default Very Rich Text to embed an app in the content. Both methods produce the same results. I have attached a screenshot showing the behavior as well.

Why change the behavior?

Your environment
Multiple versions of Windows Server 2008-2019. IIS for that version of Windows Server Multiple versions of DNN - Vanilla installs with no other modules or legacy issues. 2sxc Version 13.01 Edge/Chrome

What you are describing is Content-In-Content-In-Content

As of now, that's not possible. We (@tvatavuk) have actually been working on this for the last few weeks and hope to get it into 13.02 or 13.03.

I believe this is not yet solved.

Don't mean to necropost an old issue, but would love to see this feature! The classic example here (panel app/presentation app inside a content app, with inner-content itself) is fairly common in our workflows
