DNN + 2sxc = #DNNCMS - This tool helps web designers and developers prepare great looking content in DNN (DotNetNuke). It's like mixing DNN with Umbraco and Drupal :)
The block is the 2sxc internal representation of a module, and it is usually tightly linked to the module, but in scenarios such as inner-content it has it's own IDs etc.
Note that it appears that these objects have been part of 2sxc since somewhere in v13, but were never publicly documented.
