Samsung Galaxy. Unable to start tethering #126

I have a samsung galaxy with root, but this application fails with the
message "Unable to start tethering".

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the app on a samsung galaxy.
2. Upon "Not Root!" message, press Override.
3. Press to start tethering.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected it to work. When I start the app for the first time it says "Not
Root!" Even though I am. I've tested my root access by doing.
$su
#id
in a connectbot local shell.
When I press to start tethering it says "Unable to start tethering. Please
try again."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version as of this writing, 1.51 on Android 1.5.

The program checks if the su-binary exists (/system/bin/su).
Anyway ... right now this app won't work on a galaxy because of missing
netfilter-support of the kernel (the kernel can't be recompiled because samsung
has
not yet published the changes they made).

I'll keep this issue opened - but there is nothing we can do right now.
