Confirm 'disable tether' when clients still connected #132

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When a client is connected it seems too easy to shut off the tether. I
have accidentally disabled the tether a few times while trying to wake the
screen in order to see the throughput graphs.

I think it might be useful to require a bit of confirmation in order to
disable the tether when a client is still connected. Something as simple
as holding the disconnect button or a slide lock would go a long way in
terms of usability.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.51 on JF Rooted Cupcake.

I would just like to add that this software is amazingly well developed and
designed. Often FOSS projects have a certain lack of finish. This app
worked straight out of the box, no config necessary. That goes a long way
towards making a great first impression. Good work.

+1 for this. The "Turn Off Tether" button is quite large, so I can see how it
can be
pressed by accident.

I r498 I've added a lock button that shows up at the top of the screen after
tether has been started. Click to lock, like a checkbox. When locked, the stop
button will not stop tether, but will only display an on-screen message saying
tether is locked.
