address translation for IP address #8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I have an account at www.viewnetcam.com that returns the IP address of my
home router. That does not work with your program. Please fix or tell me if
you can't.
2. http://myaccount.viewnetcam.com:60009 does not work but this line in IE will
open footprints.
3. I will give you the actual myaccount but not on the board.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect your software to interpret the address.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iPhone 3GS, just downloaded from iTunes can not find version of your program.

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi. I'm not sure what viewnetcam.com is doing that would be incompatible with
Ted-O-Meter. Perhaps it's doing a browser-side redirect? If you can e-mail me
your account info (hadfieldn@gmail.com) I'd be happy to take a look and try to
figure out why it's not working.

I use a DDNS service as well, and it won't work in TED-o-Meter either. No
biggie as my IP address doesn't change that often, so I just plug in the
numbers.

A better way to explain this problem is to goto Dynamic DNS, www.dyndns.com.
Set up a FREE account and enter your IP address, this will allow you to
duplicate the problem.

Okay, I'm finally getting around to taking a closer look at this issue. I've
set up a dyndns.com account and as far as I can tell there's nothing special
about it -- the DNS servers simply translate the domain to an IP address.

My guess is the problems are due to port forwarding being configured
incorrectly on your routers. If you are having trouble and would like me to
look into it further, please send an email to hadfieldn@gmail.com.
