TODO

• [ ] Fix loading state CSS
• [ ] Fix success state (double message)
• [ ] todo add customer management (Requires stripe and firebase). Requires Stripe customer ID. (next figure out why stripeuserID not saved to database in userProfile collection)
• [ ] stripe API secret management for GCP deployment instead of hardcoding in index.js cloud funcitons
• [ ] price / product ID should be in env config not hardcoded in JS

steps:

• needs a new cloud function to create the URL for the billing portal - write that in index.js, deploy, proper permissions, and then reference inside of the profile modal, double check /update logic for when that is displayed

Loading State

• note the loading bar is offset. This has to do w/ the fact that div is messing the CSS.

Success State

• note the success shows twice because the component is rerendered after the auth context is set.

Profile Page if user is pro

Note: click does nothing.

Just stumbled on this: https://extensions.dev/extensions/stripe/firestore-stripe-payments . might be worth considering using this since it handles a lot of the basic functionality and has some best practices in mind

How to generate the link for a user to access their hosted billing account info:

• to get connection between 3dstreet (firebase auth) userid and stripe userid, can create a table (collection) that stores just this
• this can be updated in the webhook function at the same time the orders table is updated
• also need to generate the signed URL for the hosted account management -- and how to specify the customer ID in that function call to generate the signed URL
