I can't find the RSS xml source where you get the data from. Can you help me ? I also wanted to create an app for fdr or maybe help you but I want a "latest podcast --> download mp3 here" app. :)

Hi @JoachimR ! Have a look at my FDR API reverse-engineering wiki page. I'm not using RSS. I decided to go with a more bandwidth friendly solution so as to not supercharge Stef's servers with many search requests. Therefore, I'm partially working with an offline database solution.

The way I'm doing things now is as follows (via the tools/main.py script) :

first I'm downloading and aggregating the entire FDR podcasts database by greedily parsing all the albums request-responses
then I'm building a clean sqlite database of all this info
then I'm dumping the SQL syntax so that the app's SqlDatabaseHelper can build its internal database at first startup

It's clean, fast and eco-friendly, you might argue ;).

Why don't you give me a hand in building this? Lets join forces! I want to integrate Google Cloud Messaging into this so you can instantly have access to new content (via notifications), among other things.
