In the meeting we looked at the RDS specification in regards to the prefix to the different aspect. See RDS specification
We like the idea that we include the aspect in the CIM naming standard. However, we are not that happy to use special sign, due to:
We there for suggest the following:
Aspect | RDS | CIM | Usage | CIM Class |
---|---|---|---|---|
Function | '=' | F | The next level would be substation that is considered that it is unique for the MAS | All specialisation of PowerSystemResource and ElementResource |
Product | '-' | P | Manufacture (or requiring organisation) would be the top item | All specialisation of AssetInfo |
Deployment | '??' | D | Installed asset configuration | All specialisation of AssetDeployment |
Asset | '??' | A | Manufactures Serie number | All specialisation of Asset |
With the current naming standard, a switch would get the following names:
Aspect | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
Function | F FROLAND 132 EN Br1 | Froland 132kV Engene 1 Breaker L |
Product | P Schneider F400-EvoPact SF | Schneider Electric SF6 24-36 |
Deployment | D FROLAND Br1 RC | Froland Breaker 1 Remote Controlled |
Asset | A Schneider E34V11 | Schneider E34V11 Serial number |
This just highlights the difference in the name, and the use of the F, P and L. However, the product aspect should include the reference to the manufacture product name.
The current name specification https://github.com/3lbits/CIM4NoUtility/blob/develop/DIGIN10/docs/DIGIN10ModelingNamingStandard.adoc must be updated to include all element and all perspective.
