Overpass API: Download Failed: Network access is disabled. #234

Anytime the computer goes to sleep or hibernates and QGIS resumes I get this error anytime I try to use QuickOSM. It works fine when I first open QGIS but anytime after the computer wakes up and I left QGIS running before the sleep//hibernate period I get the error message. Can't figure it out?

Not getting any code error. The message I receive is the title of this post. "Overpass API: Download Failed: Network access is disabled"

Does it happen only with QuickOSM? Or is there any other plugin, features in QGIS not working with network?

I don't think this is a QuickOSM issue.

I have this same issue. Do you find any solution?

Please share the full screenshot above. Seeing the bottom might help. Otherwise, no solution.

Screenshot (2276) this is the full screenshot for this error. I tried 3.22.3 and 3.24.3 and 3.28.1 but none of them worked

Your screenshot is not linked to the error in this ticket.

But please double check your QGIS settings about proxy, network. Your error is about reaching the online API https://nominatim.qgis.org/ from within QGIS. Do you have issues reaching this website ?

Side question, does the QuickMapServices with OSM background plugin works well for instance ?

thanks. I just find out that, this website is not accessible in my country and I should use a proxy. Quick Map Services work fine for me. but that just provide a base map and I need a specific type of highway for an area. is it possible to get this kind of data from Open street map through other plugin or (www.openstreetmap.org) ?

Really ? Is-it a national proxy ? (if country, may I ask which one ?) Can you reach the website https://nominatim.qgis.org from your web browser ?

Yes I know, it was just to test your internet connection to tiles.openstreetmap.org from within QGIS, as it's a similar issue.

Use overpass-turbo from webbrowser, it's the same as QuickOSM.
