3.8.0-alpha.1: Measuring does not work. Extension request Snapping

What is the bug? (in English)

The measuring function does not work in version 3.8.0-alpha.1 Will it also be possible to use snapping for measuring in the future? This is often requested by users, especially for cadastral data (exact boundary/building length)
