Group as layer won't display aliases of the layers inside if the source are flat files (tested with fgb or gpkg). Note that the group has a working alias and that there is not such a behaviour with pgsql sources.
Steps to reproduce the issue
add two layers from flat files
group these layers
open lizmpap plugin
3.1 add aliases on these layers
3.2 tick the group as layer option on their group
send your project via ftp
