hello, i was wondering if you have plans to update this plugin to be QGIS3-ready? regards, Thomas

3nids commented 5 years ago

No, I don't have plan to upgrade it to QGIS 3. I think the dual view in the attribute table works fine. But I am open to any contribution!

thbaumann commented 5 years ago

ok. thanks for the feedback, Is the dual view functionality somewhere documented? I can't figure out how to auto zoom to the selected features

https://docs.qgis.org/testing/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_vector/attribute_table.html#table-view-vs-form-view

thbaumann commented 5 years ago

thanks for the link. As far as I can see there is no option to auto pan/zoom to the features like in the item browser. Then I will put the update of itembrowser on my to do list ;-)

if you are able to integrate this in core or willing to support the development costs, that would be a preferable approach to me.

thbaumann commented 5 years ago

I have no C++ skills so far. how much would it cost to port it to core?

I guess it should be no more than half a day. If you are interested please write me at denis@opengis.ch
