In any case, you must first go in the settings to define a QuickFinder file (sqlite db) that will be used by the plugin. You won't have any result without defining it. I am not sure to follow your problem.
Hello, thank you for your answer. We tried this extensions on two PCs and both have the same issue. I don't know how to explain it better, so I recorded a very short screencast a http://youtu.be/ldmq5WYAEHA so you can see by yourself. I started recording just after having opened the program.

Windows 7, QGIS 2.4, QuickFinder 3.0.5: to make the project search work, I first need to go to Plugins>Quick Finder>Settings, open the dialog and click on OK before making any search, otherwise it won't work (no results).
