I have published v2.0.0 version that:

Re-implement the logic with CLOS (instead of hash table) and refined generated code.
Generate variable profile to store current profile.
Generate function switch-profile for switching profile.
Stop generating active-profile and profiles.

Probably it is time to update this post? :-)
