I can't reproduce the issue above but I also get strange issues. Edit: I can reproduce the issue above it happens only when using the desktop app, otherwise you get the issue from down below.
numbers displayed that should not be displayed like the '7' in front of "Quadratic"
or the "Runes: 12 4k" should just read "Runes: 4k" and it displays properly on the irc gateway just not in the mattermost webui.
Edit: Possible Solution
Have matterircd filter out mirc color codes when sending data to mattermost server.
