I'm with @Calinou on this one - either rename the repo to indicate that nonfree material is present, or place a disclaimer. You can use my awesome-gamedev repo as a guide to this.
@Calinou You have a good point. That will be correct.
Do we have a solution to this yet? It appears that this issue has not been fixed. I propose that we clarify the licenses for documents labeled as just "CC" and remove any documents with "NC" or "ND" because they go directly against what the description states:
This is not a list of free programming books. This is a curated list of open source or open source licensed documents, guides, books which can read, use, modify, translate, redistribute and even rewrite under their license.
I can make a pull request with these changes, but I would like to know, @raccoonyy, if you would approve of me deleting quite a few items. We could also do what @kozross suggested and place a disclaimer next to non-free material.
When one stumbles upon https://github.com/nacyot/awesome-opensource-documents, they might expect to find documents that suit the Open Source Definition only.
However, we can find documents with those licenses in this repository:
Maybe those entries should be either removed after discussion with the author (to liberate it). Alternatively, they can be moved to a separate repository or file, to avoid confusion.
Also, all entries should be clarified, since "Creative Commons" is not a license, but an organization.
