Translations MetaIssue

During my attempt to create and test a new translation for ScanTailor Advanced, I noticed the following problems:

• OK / Canel / Save / Close / Yes / No etc. are untranslatable. I don't know whether that's on purpose, but in my opinion, these buttons should be lokalized, too (almost every other program / desktop environment does so) Update: These buttons are only not translated on Windows (probably because the german qtbase.qm translation is missing)
• when using larger characters (such as 'g') in the Filters subwindow translation, the bottom parts of them are cropped off
• my translated about text is slightly longer than the English one, but the default window size is too small, so parts of it are not shown by default - you have to resize the window manually to see the full text. It would be nice if the window could automatically adapt its size to the amount of text
• the help texts at the bottom are somtimes too long to be fully visible, in particular on smaller screens (or if the translation is longer). It would be a good idea to open a second text line in this case, I think.

Some of the problems which I initially reported were apparently to my own fault. Running make update_translations fixed problems with strings not shown for translation and guides help lokalization not applied. I have updated the above report accordingly. I think the remaining issues are rather minor, but I'd be happy anyway if at least the first and the last point could be fixed some day.

Interestingly, when I built STA on KDE Neon 20.04, all the buttons were translated correctly. So apparently, the first point is invalid as well. Moreover, in Plasma, you can set custom window sizes and positions for anything, so point three is very minor as well. I am therefore closing the issue.
