In Endwalker, REST can draw DoF effects before game's battle effects and weapon glows by capturing pixel shader 0x7e9d346f (See Google Doc).
However in Dawntrail it disappears and so far I haven't found a general shader for most kinds of effects. Some shaders can produce similar results but they either vary between different test cases or make ReShade run into reload hell.
I wonder if you have some ideas on this, thanks!
Btw, tone map clamping sometimes failed fix the over saturated bokehs produced by CinematicDOF during my explorations above.
