That should work. Strange: https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/coreutils Tried: "brew update" first?

yeah I tried all I could but didn't work

Hm. Must be something wrong with your brew, as it clearly exists.

What is the output if you search? Here is mine:

brew search coreutils ==> Formulae coreutils ✔ xml-coreutils recutils icoutils docutils uutils-coreutils moreutils corectl coinutils

Sorry. Never had these problems, so haven’t had a deep dive in home brew troubleshooting. Tried "brew doctor" or reinstall brew?

yeah I tried reinstalling and 'brew doctor'

I am sorry. I have no clue. You are using MacOS with M-chip? I have Intel, so some things I cannot test.
