run and parse something like tcpdump/ nethogs on the mirror interface
Parse if packets are retrieved on mirror interface (promiscious)
Display parsed networks/IPs from the mirror traffic somewhere in the administration panel

Used tcpdump to manually verify if traffic is seen on the mirror interface.
