Poor handling of this SVG file #1109

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download and import this image 
http://www.totalnonsense.com/misc_images/Jack_of_Spades_vector.svg

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: first screenshot
Actual: second screenshot. Image is extremely garbled.

In what browser did you experience this problem? (ALL, Firefox, Opera, etc)
