GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the Text Tool to type eg 123°F somewhere in a drawing
2. Save the SVG file
3. Display the encoding error in a browser

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of displaying "123°F" the drawing stops rendering. An encoding error
is displayed in Chrome.

In what browser did you experience this problem? (ALL, Firefox, Opera, etc)
Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m . In IE the rendering stops but no error is
produced.

In what version of SVG-edit does the problem occur? (Latest trunk, 2.5.1,
etc): 2.6, Nov 2013

Please provide any additional information below.
By manually correcting °F to °F the SVG files becomes valid and will
display correctly
