Import SVG not working in Chrome Version 34.0.1847.131 m

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using the stable version of SVG EDit with Chrome
After importing a svg file nothing happens

The svg file should import and open, but it does not.

In what browser did you experience this problem? (ALL, Firefox, Opera, etc)

Chrome Version 34.0.1847.131 m

In what version of SVG-edit does the problem occur? (Latest trunk, 2.5.1,
etc)

the latest stable version online

Please provide a sample SVG file. It is working for me (with stable at 
http://svg-edit.googlecode.com/svn/branches/stable/editor/svg-editor.html ).

These files are both generated from an odt converted to an eps that has been 
converted to a pdf and then converted to an SVG file.
One file has been cleaned with Scour the other file has been generated as a 
plain svg file from Inkscape.
They have both worked fine for the last couple years.
But now neither are showing up on import.
But they both open normally.
If you can find the problem, it would be appreciated.

The odd thing is these files import correctly using Firefox and Cyberfox
