hi, any timeframe on when a 3rd party sdk will be available so that we dont have to rely on the flic app to add a flic button?

fabianbergmark commented 8 years ago

Due to how bluetooth works on iOS and Android, we can't give developers integrating with flic 'full' SDK access. If we did, the apps would interfere with each other and it would be a mess. We built it so that the flic app works as a manager, and other apps are able to subscribe to events. However, If you want to make your own product around the Flic button, we have white-label solutions. This is however limited to large orders.

i've followed up in a private email

still waiting in response, but unfortunately due to lack of response we'll have to go with another product with more responsive company

what will be released today... a third party sdk as requested? On Mon, May 9, 2016 at 7:21 AM, Fabian Bergmark notifications@github.com wrote: Sorry for the slow response, we are working really hard on finishing everything. It will be released today

Sorry I thought this concerned the Linux SDK. As stated we provide an SDK that requires the Flic application, and currently have no plans to release a new SDK.

A full SDK for using buttons without the Flic app is available for both iOS and Android. But, as Fabian stated above, we only provide that to companies that buy the white-label version in bulk orders. I don't know who you have been following up with in a private email so I can unfortunately not comment on the "lack of response". If you have submitted the form on our website for POIC-integration then it should have been forwarded to the correct person. Otherwise, if you are still interested, I can make sure that we get in contact with you. But remember, this solution is not for Flic.

so getting mixed messages from two people at Flic, but if a white label solution is available please have someone contact us at dev@galileomd.com On Mon, May 9, 2016 at 7:39 AM, Anton Meier notifications@github.com wrote: A full SDK for using buttons without the Flic app is available for both iOS and Android. Hi, does the full SDK, for the white-label version work for iOS11?

Emill commented 6 years ago

iOS 11, in the latest beta, Apple has changed the behaviour how the Bluetooth stack works and we are currently rewriting some parts of the lib to match those. All three of the Flic app, fliclib-ios and the "full sdk" are built from the same code so all of these will soon be upfated.
