Information
WotC are following a new digital strategy on how they mark content that is outdated https://www.dndbeyond.com/legacy
It would be good for 5eTools to follow this marking strategy with a new tag.
Who would use it?
Anyone who wants to confirm that they are using the latest mechanics/lore from WotC, as denoted by WotC's own marking policy. In addition to the useful tools regarding reprints, extensions and revisions already on 5eTools.
How would it work?
Similar to the SRD or basic rules tags it could be applied at specific datapoint level.
Alternatively it may be possible to simply apply it at source level, so all content from e.g. VGM/MTF is marked implicitly.
Why should this be added?
Now is the best time to introduce this feature, at the point that WotC are also implementing it. Doing it retroactively could well be painful.
