Thanks for the PR. Allow me some time to review it.

To begin with, however, I'd like to point out, I am not inclined to add the dist folder in the github codebase. Is there a particular reason for doing so?

Made a PR with the same changes, but without the dist folder. You should close this one and move the thread to https://github.com/5punk/react-slack-chat/pull/41.
